Do Prolotherapy Injections Hurt?

Yes, they do. For a few minutes. It should be noted that Dr. Franchi does not use the multiple injection site technique that some other doctors use. Therefore, the one injection is less painful and just as effective. Also, he uses a solution of 50% dextrose with a local anesthetic which reduces, if not eliminates, all side effects while reducing the expense of the treatments.
